Day 1Belgrade


Welcome to Belgrade! You’ll be met at the Airport and transferred to our Hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, the sightseeing tour of Belgrade will take place either today or on the last day before your return flight. Belgrade sightseeing tour includes the most significant sights of old part of the city: the National Assembly, City Hall, National Theatre and the visit to St Sava Orthodox Church. Later walk with your Local Guide along the pedestrian Knez Mihailova street, Kalemegdan park and Belgrade fortress.

Day 3Vrnjačka Banja – Raška –Novi Pazar – Monastery Studenica


After breakfast drive along the beautiful Ibar River Gorge and stop over by the Maglic Fortress and coffee break. Continue to Zica monastery, the foundation of the first Serbian King Stefan Nemanjic (Stefan the First-Crowned) and his brother Saint Sava, built in an early 13th century. In this monastery seven medieval Serbian kings were crowned. Lunch in traditional ethno restaurant. Our journey continues to the oldest Christian church in the Balkans – Saint Peter’s and Paul Church. Sightseeing of Djurdjevi Stupovi monastery, 12th century Serbian medieval monastery and one of the oldest shrines in Serbia. It is endowment of famous Serbian ruler and founder of the ruling dynasty of Nemanjic, Stefan Nemanja. Continue to Studenica Monastery, enlisted as the UNESCO world heritage site. The entire monastic complex encompasses two dormitories. The first residence is located near the monastery complex, with its east side. Terrace of the dormitory facing the monastery complex. The second is a little older and is located on the west side with a terrace facing the river Studenica. Monastic dinner and overnight.

Day 5Depart Belgrade


After breakfast we transfer you to Belgrade airport for your flight back home. Those who have a later flight may enjoy the included city sightseeing tour before departure to the airport.

Day 2Belgrade – Despotovac – Krusevac – Vrnjacka Banja


After breakfast we check out and leave for central Serbia, driving through picturesque countryside. We arrive to beautiful Manasija monastery, also known as Resava. It is one of the last monuments to Serbian mediaeval culture, built in early 15th century, endowment od Holy Despot Stefan Lazarevic. Lunch in the traditional restaurant near famous waterfall called Veliki buk. After lunch we visit the town of Krusevac and Lazarica Church dated from 15th century. Then there’s a short drive to Ljubostinja monastery, built in the place where Prince Lazar and Princess Milica met and fell in love. Our next stop is Vrnjacka Banja Spa and check in to hotel. Free time for walk through one of the most famous and most beautiful spas in Serbia. Overnight in hotel.

Day 4Monastery Studenica – Ovcar-Kablar Gorge – Belgrade


After breakfast sightseeing of the Studenica Monastery medieval complex. Drive to Ovcar Kablar Gorge known as the Serbian Holy Mountain of Athos, thanks to numerous monasteries situated in this area. We will visit Nikolje monastery. Lunch at the riverside restaurant. Then we continue to a very popular Bukovicka banja Spa, once known as a favorite destination of Prince Milos and Obrenovic dynasty (19th century). Bukovicka banja Spa is the balneotherapy climate wellness spa resort, where direct and indirect influences of vegetation, water and air are creating an unique environment suitable for resting, relaxation and extended vacations. Spa has its own park, an unique museum of the largest contemporary outdoor sculpture collections made of white marble from mountain Vencac and it may be compared with some of the world’s most famous sculpture parks (Oterlou in Netherlands or Forvert Houston in Texas). Later drive back to Belgrade. Tonight we celebrate our “Farewell dinner” with excellent food and music at “Skadarlija”, the Bohemian quarter of the city. Overnight.
