Relax in the afternoon or stroll through the streets of Belgrade and enjoy the atmosphere of this friendly city.
This morning we travel through the picturesque countryside of Central Serbia known as the Sumadija region, in the heart of which lies the town of Topola, famous as the site of the Serbian uprising against the Turks in 1804.
Learn about its legendary leader, Karadjordje, while visiting his residence and the memorial park with his monument. On the nearby Oplenac hill we admire the Royal Mausoleum at St. George Church. Founded in 19th century the entire interior is covered with the mosaics of 725 painted compositions and around 1500 figures!!
Later, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Belgrade. The rest of the day is at leisure for further exploration of the city.
After breakfast we visit Subotica, the second largest city of Vojvodina region and one of the most multi-ethnic cities in Serbia. Enjoy the walking tour seeing the City Hall, the Synagogue and Raichle Palace.
Our Highlight Visit today is to the winery of Zvonko Bogdan (includes the tour of vineyards, winery and baroque cellar with wine tasting of three types of wine: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Cuvée). Across the border into Hungary we visit the city of Szeged.
Located on the river Tisza it is also known as the “Sunshine City” as it has the highest number of sunny days throughout the year. See the Votive Church, Dom Square and Karasz street before we continue to the vibrant Hungarian capital city of Budapest. Tonight, our sightseeing Cruise with Dinner combines sounds, sights and flavours.
You will be enchanted by the illuminated sights while sampling great Hungarian food and wine and relaxing with Blue Danube waltzes.
After breakfast we take you for an extensive sightseeing tour which includes the most significant sights of old part of the city: National Assembly, Kalemegdan park and Belgrade fortress, Republic and Terazije squares, National Theatre, St Sava Orthodox Cathedral.
Later we visit the Royal Palaces of Karadjordjevic family and get acquainted with the history, art and culture of the Serbian heritage. The tour includes the magnificent Royal and White Palaces and the Royal Chapel dedicated to the patron Saint of the Royal family.
Spend the afternoon in individual sightseeing before included Dinner at one of the most famous Restaurants at Skadarlija, the Bohemian quarter.
It is only a short drive to Novi Sad, the capital city of Vojvodina region. Your local guide will show you the main sights of the city like the Liberty Square, Town Hall, Catholic church, Theatre Square, Dunavski Park.
Our next stop will be at Sremski Karlovci, one of the most beautiful towns in Vojvodina with its richly decorated and well preserved Baroque and Neo-Classical buildings. In the afternoon we drive to Lake Palic. With its 7km long lake shore, Palic used to be an elite spa resort at the turn of 19th-20th century.
There are remarkable buildings of Hungarian Art Nouveau style and dominated by woodcarvings. Dinner tonight at our Hotel.
During the Budapest sightseeing tour your local guide will tell you many interesting facts about the City’s history and show you the most famous sights. Visit the Hero’s Square and drive along elegant Andrasy Boulevard and enjoy the views of Chain Bridge, Fisherman’s Bastion and the Church of Matthew.
In the afternoon we will visit the tranquil village of Szentendre, full of well preserved houses and churches, as well as small galleries on every street corner. Szentendre is also well known as the religious and cultural centre of Serbs in Hungary.
Tonight we take you to an authentic Hungarian Csarda restaurant for our Farewell Dinner of delicious traditional dishes enlivened by a colourful Folklore Show with Gypsy Orchestra.
